Rolex Air King
Hi all. I bought a Air King NIB. Never worn. It's 2yrs old. Just out of curiosity. I wanted to see how long it would run before it stops. I wound it 40 full turns. Let it sit. And it stopped 36 hours later. I did this 4 times in a row. And 36hrs is about right. Is this normal?
I have heard some say theirs last up to 48 hours or more. Letting it sit after a full wind. Hope i don't have a problem. |

I tested my Air King last week and it ran for 47hrs, 25 mins. Here are some other results...

So you haven't worn the Rolex for 6 days while you test the Power reserve and drive yourself nuts?
Haha, seriously though , a caliber 3130 movement should have a reserve in the mid 40s. Make sure you really wind the thing. Forty FULL turns on the crown. Forty 3/4 turns isn't the same thing. You can't overwind an automatic movement. Try it again, and if you get the same result, there could be an issue. Wear the thing for a while to break it in though.

 Yeah Joe, i must be losing it. I did make sure it was 40 FULL turns. I will try it again. And wear it too. And see how i make out. |

Als try more than 40 turns. Maybe 60 to be sure.
