15202 options

Today I was looking at a 15202 SS at a AD, tried it on and I am concerned about the size. Compared to the rest of my collection the Jumbo seems small, pun intended. (WG Sub, 5726, DDII Plat, SS Daytona, Breitling Nav). Also I picked up a ROO Safari today while I was there, love it will post a pick soon (my first AP!).

I know that the 15202 is such a coveted piece but the 15400 and 26320 seem like a better fit. However, I do love the RG band, although having only seen it on the larger version and was thinking with the additional weight of the RG this might be a better fit/feel on the 15202.

Why so little mention of the RG jumbo?

How about the 15400or? Bigger fit and has a rose gold bracelet. I am guessing there is less mention of the rose gold 15202 because it's less practical and costs considerably more

Less talk because it's expensive and the original is SS. The watch is intended to be a clone of the original royal oak, which I'm sure you know is famous for breaking barriers in SS watch pricing/perception.

I agree 15400r might be better for you. Congrats on the safari!

Yes, I would go for the ROC in 41mm as the subdials fill up the rather large dial better esp the white dial. If you prefer black dial then the 15400 RG is fine.

I just think of the other Genta icon, the PP 5711 in RG and that doesn't seem right to me either.

While I can appreciate the pedigree of the 15202, I personally find the proportions of the 15400 more aesthetically pleasing and the size more fitting for my wrist and personal taste. It really has magnificent wrist presence. I should note that I own(ed) several of the same watches you have and would not want to wear anything smaller than the Daytona. 15400/26320 in rose gold is my current grail watch. Good luck, can't wait so see what you end up doing!
