How about whichever way makes the bezel useful for setting a different time zone?

In what ever position the bezel is functioning for its purpose.

That's why you stick with all black bezels....clears up the confusion and no polls needed

Black on top unless I'm actually using the bezel to determine the time in a different zone.

Black on the top - unless using the 3rd time zone function.

Given the hour hands on my watch are synched to home time as the default I prefer the bezel marker straight up at 12 o'clock.

Mine is slightly off centre but it's for a reason. I think it looks best.

I have the 24 hour hand set to my reference time, which is Mountain time. My hour hand is set to the local time, which is also Mountain time, but when I travel outside the time zone, the hour hand will be set to the local time whatever that is.
The bezel is set so that the hour hand shows GMT, which I would change if traveling to show home time. In other words, the placement of the bezel has nothing to do with cosmetics. ![]()

I like to alter the position sometimes - just for the heck off aesthetics / cosmetics. I am a simple guy - not a world traveller nor pilot - so I place it how I want it regardless of "the right tool use". :)

Looks good any angle IMHO. Just use it, that's is a pleasing thing to me, the fact I am using it for what it was intended.
