More GMTII-C Stickers!

I've had the GMTII-C for about a month now, and today I go to set the time and notice what look like two scratches on the undersides of the crown guards (bummer!)...I look further, and see they are actually two tiny little clear stickers, one over each crown guard!

My AD had removed all the stickers while sizing the bracelet for me, and I guess they didn't see these two. Who knows how long they would have been there...

I wonder if anyone has counted all the stickers that come on a new GMT...

In any case - here is a pic the day I got it (with the stickers still on).

It recently accompanied me on a two week trip to Tokyo, Taipei, and Seoul. It was so easy to jump the hour hand traveling to each new city, and the 24-hr hand let me know the time back home. Exactly what the watch was designed for, and it was great to make use of it. Loving this watch - it should be a required purchase for all Rolex collectors

Great watch. I bought my GMTII c last week. The AD told me he thought he removed all the stickers but then said I'm sure you will find one or two that I missed. I asked why and he said because there are so many and he hasn't come across enough of the watches to become familiar with where all the stickers are located:

When I got my GMT TT Ceramic, I noticed a huge scratch on the edge of the inner deployment part of the buckle. I wondered how in the world that happened, but when I pulled out the trusty loupes, I realized it was a clear sticker! Nice watch, wear it in good health.

I just read your post, took off my less than 2 week old SS GMTII-C and found that my CG stickers were still on too! Thanks for pointing them out to me. They are now removed.

Yep. Very nice shot. I tried going back to one of my older watches for work (a Casio) and could only last one day. I've become so accustomed to the IIc, with its great looks and Rolex-ness, that I had it back on the next day.

That doesn't bode well for my other timepieces.

when i pulled the stickers from my wife's platty ym i cleaned it up and sized it for her, took pictures and posted them here. about 1 month later i was cleaning it for her and noticed a dull place on the side of the case buy the bezel. i got a lupe and looked at it and realized when i removed the sticker on the side of the case it tore leaving a little bit on it. i just laughed, if you look closely at the last 2 pictures i posted here you can see it but it is really difficult. lol

enjoy your watch man!!!!!

I keep coming back to look at your picture. That is a great picture. At first, I thought the dials were red but then realized that was the angle of the camera and the way light was hitting the dials. Very stunning.
