Pride and Joy

Guys, when you catch that glance of your pride and joy gleaming in the sun, does your heart leap for joy. Does it add a little extra to your day

I posted this photo last week as a spoof to the new "Deep Sea" on my wrist!!

He is at the grabbing stage (8 months old) now and when I am holding him he is constantly grabbing and pulling my Sea Dweller. I know Rolex is tough for adult use, but I hope they are child proof

Exactly, which is why I love the brand so much. It really gives me joy to see the worked beauty of somethiing that has a function and yet which has the emotional appeal of a fine jewelery piece.

Not everyone shares our affliction, but those who do, understand!

It is amazing how well crafted the dials are on a Rolex. When compared to other "tribute" watches (ie Invicta, Steinhart, Seiko) you can easliy say that Rolex goes all the way with there quality. I stare at my Polar Expy II all the time and it is not just a timepiece; it's a modern marvel.

Yes. There are times when I will look at it and think "hmmm thats nice I guess", then there are times when the sun or a light hits it just right and it all of the sudden looks like the most finely engineered piece of gleaming equipment I could possibly own. I completely get what corner you are coming from. =) Nice SD BTW.

Yes, mine makes me happy when it glints in the sun. I have one picture in mind that the watch seems to be glowing on my wrist. The only thing more beautiful in that picture is the woman standing next to me.

p.s. SEANTK, your baby is lucky enough to have a dad who owns a watch that can be passed down to the next generation. Don't worry, he'll grow into it.

My Platty is my pride and joy. Love it when the dial catches the sun rays bouncing off all that gorgeous Pt.

Nice pics, John and Sean.

Rolex ownership is one of life's little pleasures, it does give me a little something to smile about when I look at what's on my wrist.
