Ive seen them before and its authentic rolex. I thiught the fold over clasp was a bit earlier than your watch head though but I could be wrong

It's authentic rolex did the same and made bands in Argentina also at this time due to taxes.

Yes due to taxes and gold importation rules meant gold bracelets and even cases were made in some other countries at certain times.

I for one will not pay more for it. If given a choice of the same bracelet, I would prefer swiss made. Also I prefer hidden clasp which is always swiss made. That said, there is nothing wrong with yours. Wear it in good health.

Back in the 1980s, backpackers staying in Hong Kong could make a little pocket money and get a free weekend in Japan and a couple of other Asian countries by wearing a gold Rolex through customs.
