Great review. I agree with you that they lose points on value.

Over $30K is just too much for a SS watch.

Great review. A few things that I find a bit cheesy for a $33,000 watch:

1. Rubber or plastic straps should be a free extra on this watch. Personally, I think rubber screams "dive watch", and this clearly isn't one.
2. They should have included a fine gator strap along with the rubber, in part, because the integrated strap design is a big aggravation to find in a non-oem version.
3. A buckle, rather than a great deployant? Again, less good, IMO.
4. On the case-- no disagreement about the finish or looks (strictly a taste thing), but not sure I see any special performance value for the size. Almost 15mm thick and either 42 or 44mm diameter but the WR of a Daytona or Breguet TypeXX of 20 years ago. 100m of WR is certainly good but not ground breaking. The case got bigger but no better than predecessors from 20 years ago.

Again, nice review, and I look forward to your next.

Thanks for your input! I do agree with you on item #2... as for #3, I actually prefer tang buckles over deployants. Sure deployants are more fancy and look nicer, but they are often uncomfortable... and comfort should be priority in this case. As for #4, the size could've been a bit smaller for sure, but I guess they are jumping on the bigger is better bandwagon.
