LV or BLNR
Hey All!
Ok, I have searched the forum pretty extensively, before I wasted anyone's time for my question. I have found a few threads with similar questions, but it does not seem anyone has asked the question without already owning one, or the other. My question is: What to buy next, the 116610LV Hulk or the 116710BLNR Batman? I love them both for different reasons, I have tried them both on and love the look and feel of them both. I would say my only concern about the LV is, does it go well with all colors (attire) Also, I do not dive and I rarely travel, just FYI Current watch is: SS Daytona 116520 Black dial Any and all opinions and thoughts welcome! |

When you tried them both on, one of them probably sang to you more than the other. There's your answer.

Last year, I picked up a BLNR and then an LV. So, my initial suggestion to you would be to get the BLNR. However, it is very important that both watches are tried on to ensure you are happy with them.
Based on your current collection, I would go with the LV as you already have a black dial watch. Add in the fact you do not travel much, I think the LV would suit you well.

I'm telling you the hulk goes with almost anything and the dial is sooooo captivating. BLNR is great, but is a black dial in the end of the day if you are looking for variety. I was a black face only kind of guy. Wish I would have went after color sooner.

You'll probably end up with both. Buy hulk first as it's price has settled while blnr still commands msrp or close to it. Down the road I imagine price will settle to 1k or so below msrp like the hulk has.

I need a glidelock clasp and don't need a gmt function so LV-C would be my choice.

I have owned both these watches at the same time and still find that a really tough question to answer. They are both different but both still fantastic. There is certainly no wrong answer! It is entirely your call as to which you prefer. I guess also how you feel about PCL's - although you already have a Daytona so you know all the pro's and cons already.
I can tell you, having had my Hulk for 2.5 years I have never had an issue with the green and it clashing with other colours. It is still my daily wearer! |

I'm a sub guy ( Smurf, Hulk, Sunburst LB, DBlue ) but can't go wrong with either. Get the better deal for now.

Hulk since you already have a black dial watch...but I'd like to pick up a BLNR to complement the Hulk in the future.

I pondered the same question for some time.
I fell for the BLNR but have slowly come around to the LV (although I have yet to purchase either). I have also begun to appreciate the non-polished center-link on the sub, which would seem to add a nice counter-balance to my two-tone datejust when a "dressy" watch is not necessarily desired on a particular day. The sub seems to answer any sartorial circumstance -- I'm nearly sold. I can't think of any color ensemble or attire that the green sub doesn't match. Every time I question a certain color shirt, etc. for which I feel it may not "fit" with, it seems that the green compliments beyond my expectations. |

For me it's a necessity. Especially when I'm travelling because I don't need any tool to adjust the bracelet. Can't convince myself to spend lots of cash on a watch without that clasp.
