My sub c date gained about 20 seconds over approx 2weeks

Is that normal

Sorry i know this is a question some one asks every week but I have never really tested it before

That's only 1.5 sec. a day and fully normal and within COSC specs.

My 16610 gains about 3 seconds per day, and I'm satisfied with that. If I remember or am wearing it often, at night I take the watch off and place it on its side with the crown most upward. This supposedly will slow down the movement a little so it can regulate. It seems to help with my watch.

Yes. It is. It is not a digital clock.
-4 +6 seconds a day is within parameters.
20 seconds in 14 days .. As someone stated that's roughly and probably 1.5 seconds a day.
Then again your watch could be buggered,losing 100 seconds one day and gaining 98 the next... But I doubt it.

Yes that's fine please remember that's its a fully mechanical watch and not a quartz movement, dont worry just enjoy your rolex

That is not bad at all. My new BLNR is gaining 10+ seconds a day. Going to have to take it in to the RSC soon.

Playing with the "resting position" at night should yield a way to bring the accuracy closer. there's threads on it but for the most part, dial up runs fastest, on its side crown down is a bit slower & crown up even slower.

My wife thinks I'm absolutely crazy but I check time.is on my iphone when taking off at night & determine how to put down the watch. I can now keep whatever I'm currently wearing within a few seconds of spot on without unscrewing the crown.
