Datejust 6605 help
Hi
It was suggested on the general forum, I post this here. I have had a ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL DATEJUST (No box no paperwork) passed down to me. I recently went to a jeweller who advertises part exchange, as I was considering upgrading, I was also curious about it's value and couldn't do one without the other. The jeweller was fairly dismissive, said they could only sell bigger sport types and as regards value told me to look on ebay. Not very helpful. Can anyone help me with information about the watch? Model number on rim above 12 is 6605, serial number below the six is in the 220000 -230000 range. I like the watch, it gets noticed, but I can't say much about it when people ask. Many thanks. |

If that dial is original, you have a pretty valuable piece on your hands, hard to tell from the pics though. The lume seems to look a bit off though

No, the dial is definitely refinished (with its anachronistic tritium designation). These 2-tone 6605s even with original dial are not worth more than $2500 or so, as is more likely in the $1500 range.
