The correct markings

Hello everyone, need question answered on the correct marking at the bottom of my 1973 DJ cal 1603. Should it read T swiss made T or just swiss. I am curious if my dial is original or has been replaced over the years. Any responses would be appreciated and thanks.

If it is a tritium dial, it must have the T designation. If there is no lume then the dial would not have the T marking.

If it has lume and only says Swiss, take it into a dark room and shine a flashlight on it for a few seconds. A later replacement Luminova dial will glow brightly.

lume markings explained

Thanks for the reply. To be more precise I should have asked what would be the proper markings for my model. Some pictures that I view of the 1973 models have T swiss T on the dial and some say T<25, mine happens to have T swiss made T. Were they all random or is there only one proper marking for that year?

Thanks for that thread, I learned that any question has possibly been asked before. I will assume that my dial is original.
