The more I see it the more I love it. Look at the proportions and angle of the bezel and the slimmer lugs. It fixes everything I wasnt 100% about on the DDII. Perfection. I'm having one.

That platinum with smooth bezel is awesome. The others I am neutral on.

The sticks dials are very nice, the Romans are rather unclassy, cheapen the whole watch.

I could be wrong, but I suspect the last image is of a white gold DD, not platinum as indicated (are there any platinum Rolex watches with a fluted bezel?) I would really enjoy having a 40mm WG DD; is there an estimate for how long before they start hitting the ADs?

I agree and if you look closely, very closely, you can almost make out the 2 dots on the winding crown, indicating that it is WG.
I hope it is anyway.

I like the stick dials but like Neil, I'm not feeling the new Roman style. I don't altogether dislike them, I guess I'm more perplexed with the new style direction more than anything else. Perhaps the boxier style takes up less dial space & therefore appears larger since they downsized? I'm only guessing.
Otherwise, a nice size.

I too like the baton makers. Great to see a DD with a working lume again.

I don't like it at all. I get the movement is great advancement, but so far as the models offered, my thought is please keep the DDII in production.

Once they have a silver stick dial for the 228239 (wg fluted bezel) I'm all in. Game over.

Are the versions that are currently displayed on the Rolex site the only available ones or is there a list of dial options?
