New member - question about movements

Hello everyone. New member and 1st post ! Please forgive me if this belongs somewhere else. I have a '92 Sub and a '05 SS/18K Sub. I'm currently shopping a new GMT Master IIc. I saw on Rolex website that for 2015 a new movement (Cal 3255) with better precision, longer power reserve, etc is being introduced. Is this movement applicable to Subs, GMT's etc ? One of my pet peeves with my current watches is the relatively short power reserve if I don't wear them over the weekend. Thanks for any insight !

I might be wrong but I think the new movement is only in one watch right now. It's definitely not in the Subs, GMTs etc, anyway, and right now there's no knowing when it will be.

Simple answer is when you take watch off give it a full manual wind 40 full crown turns clockwise then should last around 48 hours.Yes the cal 3255 is only available in the slow selling DDs at the moment. And it will be several years before we see the new modded movements in watches like the Sub or GMT.

Thanks. I thought this might be the case because they don't make mention of it as a "new and improved" on any one watch line in their online catalog but wanted to check before proceeding with my purchase. Thanks again.
