The GMT 1675 "root beer" - it's growing on me!

I've always been a fan of the vintage GMTs, mostly the stainless steel models, but lately I have started to warm up to the GMT 1675 14K/SS models with the "root beer" dial. I recently spotted this 1970 model at the WWT show in Las Vegas this past week and couldn't leave without it. It is a very nice, original "root beer" still wearing the original SWISS Jubilee folded link bracelet.

If you like the "root beer dials" let's see what you have!

I love the root beers and would eventually like to have one with the matte or milk chocolate dial. Looks like you found a great example, congrats!
Here are two of my favorites both 16753s.

Very nice John!

I'm in the same boat. I never really cared for them but have warmed up recently and would love to find a good one.

If I had a watch growing on me, I would go to the doctor, maybe even the emergency room to have it removed....

Nice example, Springer - I don't have one, and am yet to warm up to them!
Enjoy your new acquisition.

Great pick up John! I have one coming soon and couldn't agree more about the coolness of Root Beers.

Thanks Kevin, Karl and all the others who have posted recently. It took me a few decades before I finally started to appreciate this style of GMT. It is definitely unique which could be one factor in why it took me so long to finally appreciate its style and colors.

Stunning example John.

Interesting this was a variation that stayed in the shawdows for a long time and is now becoming quite popular.

I've never owned one, but more and more "Ya just don't feel complete".

Very nice, John. If i ever end up buying a two tone watch, I think the root beer would be the one.

Root Beers rule. Recently flipped mine and, as my wife said, "If i knew that was one of the ones you were trading i would've advised against it." excellent choice.

I've recently used mine in a trade. I loved it but when one of dreams came available, I let it go. If money was no object, I'd definitely reinvest. Great watch

Here's one of mine, one of my favourite models. I have a few - two tone and the brown 1675/8.

One of the first Rolex watches I have admired, owned by a neighbor back in the 1970s. Great look.
