Pre-trigger Crisis! Which one to choose?
I'm on the hunt again and for the last month, I've been certain beyond all reasonable doubt that I want the Deepsea D-Blue. However, I'm beginning to wonder if it's almost a waste as it's only going to be a weekend watch. I'm starting to re-consider (as in, I've thought of these before) a TT Sub Blue, a YM Platinum face and now the SD4K.
I have a SS Daytona black dial, SubC LV and BLNR. Which would you choose? I know, I know, try 'em all and see which one sings but the problem is, they all do! Please don't take this the wrong way but I'm not interested in any other brand, I prefer sports watches and I'm not a fan of DJs or YMIIs

Obviously you'll end up with all of them eventually, so the question really is which one do you want first?
I'd go for the D-Blue. Be bold! |

Make sure that you do try on the DSSD before you buy. It is a watch not meant for mere mortals. Many hate the weight, height and size of the beast.

I have, several times and I love it. The only thing messing with my head is if it's a waste of money to drop that amount on something that's only going to be worn on weekends.

I have a feeling that it'll start to creep into your weekday rotation. It won't be a waste of money.

Based on your collection, I would add the Yacht-Master. It would round out your collection very nicely and provide you with a great degree of diversity. However, if I were you, I would eventually add the TT blue Sub (sunburst dial). That beauty is too stunning to pass up.
Good luck!

The YM is mainly SS; I wouldn't count it as a PM watch. I still say go with it as the DSSD is too large imho. The YM would give greatest diversity.

Personally, I think you've got the SS sports Rolex line covered really well, so I would look to another brand.

I think it's a tough call between the TT Sub and D Blue but I love the D Blue so it got my vote.

I would go for the deep blue. If that's the one you want you'll eventually come back to it. If you buy any others you have mentioned you will just keep thinking about the deep blue. So why not just scratch the itch first?

I'd have to say the YM with the SD a very close second, good luck Ruud, great problem to have!

I'd go TT Sub or YM. As other have said, the YM will round out your collection more. The TT Sub is a beauty that you will probably add in the future. So maybe just jump the gun and go with the sub....

Based on your current collection, I'd suggest the YM blue dial. It adds some diversity and can be worn as more than just a weekend watch.
I'm in the same boat re the DSSD, I've tried to justify it a million times but I just can't see wearing it enough to warrant the purchase. Good luck deciding |

While the SD4K is my favorite, if I could only choose one, watch, it's the first I'd eliminate based on current collection. I'd choose deep blue and live with it as weekend watch - you have enough for the office. But if that's out then TT sub as long as new sunburst dial. But that's me etc etc

Given your current rotation I'd say Deep Blue....I've got the BLNR, SS Daytona (panda dial and red hands), SD. 4k, 16610 LV and just got the Deep Blue myself so I'm biased!!
Will get the 114060 later this year to complete my modern Rolex collection!

Taking into consideration the watches you already own, my vote went to the YM. If you didn't already own a Sub, my second choice would have been the TT Sub.
I have basically the same line up as you with just different configurations and I'm also thinking about adding the YM. Good luck Mr Ruud.

Based on what you have now, YM first with Sub TT Blue a close second.

Given your current collection, the D Blue would be the one.
I think it looks great on your wrist and there's no reason why you couldn't mix it in during the work week. No rules with how and where you choose to wear it. |
