1675 After Market Bracelets

Hi all,

I just bought a 1675 pepsi bezel with a crappy after market oyster bracelet and I am wondering if someone can give insight on a reliable or reputable after market bracelet dealer.

I am looking for a jubilee or at least a better oyster. Also, has anyone used a president on a gmt? Thanks.

That's a great looking GMT with a fat case!

The aftermarket oyster it's on looks good IMHO. Can we see more pics of it since I don't see a reason to go from one aftermarket oyster to another if the one you have is usable. You can get. You can get an authentic Jubilee for about $300 if you look on ebay. An authentic oyster will run $500-600 on the low end.

It's a pretty good oyster, but it just feels flimsy. I will post more pics when I can.

I also like the look of a jubilee on these watches. I've been looking for an authentic jubilee at local pawn shops but they tough to find.

Just buy an authentic used Rolex Jubilee. Looks great on that watch and wont run you too much

True. I picked up a used 1977 Jubilee here on TRF for $400. There is stretch but I can live with it.

I have bought a lot from them also, but just had that bad experience hearing my watch hit the ground (it was wood thank god). The oysters they sell are better construction and have less parts so I would trust them more.

I think he's talking aftermarket, not an outright fake. That'd be no bueno.

You could always swap out the clasp for a genuine rolex clasp, quite a few guys around here have done that, some will admit it, others not. Just disclose what you've done if you sell it. Absolutely no reason to do that to someone, I hate dishonesty in watch sales

Fakes are made to deceive and would have Rolex Trademarks. They are an illegal Trademark infringement (counterfeit), and since they are an illegal enterprise just to make money, they are usually made as cheaply as possible.

Aftermarket are just that. A NATO or leather is aftermarket as are some quality made bracelets that are similar in appearance to the originals but do not have illegal trademarks - they are meant to replace, not deceive you into thinking it is authentic.

It's funny how people think and I am one of them. I have a sub with a NATO strap on and a leather strap. No way would I put anything but a Rolex metal bracelet on. Sure most are following that mindset too. Just funny if you think about it. Leather, nylon, rubber etc ok - but no metal. Oh well.

The prices of a 62510h can be in the 350$ range. Lower for a 6251 folded. I would not take a risk of filing down the serial with a bad end link. Yes, I catastrophize

Ideally, I'd like to get an authentic. I am having a hard time finding 62510H with 550 end links. I've seen plenty of 555 end links but few 550 in a decent price range.

The reason I am asking about aftermarket is that I'd like to get a jubilee on soon. If I can buy an aftermarket for $50 while I look for a reasonably priced/in good condition authentic, then why not?

Has anyone had used 555 on a 1675 GMT? I read that the only different is the 555 links are for thinner spring bars. Thanks for any insight.

Since I assume your trying to be funny I think it's comments like this that aren't welcoming to new users or people who ask an honest question regarding an AFTERMARKET bracelet which is very different than a fake as explained above. Not everyone can or wants to go out and buy a multiple hundred dollar bracelet and I find it perfectly OK to ask about a quality replacement at a reasonable cost.

Im looking for a fake oyster bracelet for my 1675, thats all. I dont want to spend a lot of money for my bracelet and i want to preserve the original bracelet.

No, 555 endlinks are for a Datejust and have the 36mm case contour. They can be used if you don't mind the slight mismatch, and they do need to be used with 1.8mm spring bars.

To use the proper GMT bracelet you need not only the 502 endlinks but you need the Jubilee bracelet with 50 marked ends to use 2.mm springbars. If you just find 502 end links and try to fit them to a DJ Jubilee they will be a mismatch.

This type of bracelet is considered counterfeit...not aftermarket. Part fake part genuine is not genuine therefore counterfeit.

I put a 20mm Geniune Tudor jubilee band on a full size tudor sub I own. It's a 6248-20. It's a nice band. I had my jeweller open the loops to fit the 2mm bars. It is a simple modification. My wife wears it and I check to make sure it's holding well. So far so good. I bought that band for $130 and is a real Tudor band. I just wanted to float this in this funny discussion here.

Larry, aren't the 502s for the later GMTs or possibly the GMT II 16760?

Every late 1970's GMT 1675 and 1980's GMT 16750 Jubilee that I have owned had the 50 stamp on the last link and 550 end links which is what Rolex literature identifies as the end links for the 62510 GMT Jubilee from that era.
