No1 Sport Chrono.... Daytona or....?
In TRFs opinion what is the best 5 SPORTS Chronograph of all time in order of preference basing your assumptions on History, Movement, Value for money, Aesthetics and Value retention.
Note: Without sidetracking a Daytona Paul Newman and today's model are for the purposes of the above the same. The same could be said about the Speedmaster, the Monaco or any other model modern v vintage model. That said the history should be a consideration of your thought process. Its true sports Chrono, taking out Patek etc AC/PC Chrono Combos which could arguably be classed as dress variants. My thoughts: 1.Daytona 2. Speedmaster 3. Nautilus 5980/90 4. AP ROO 5. Heure Monaco |

It's a biased poll. I'll make a wild wager that the Daytona will be #1.

Speedmaster gets my vote. Mostly because I like it better. Also, through its history, I think it has stayed most true to its original design. That's part of its appeal IMO. |

I own both the Speedmaster and Daytona and considering the criteria listed I would pick the Speedmaster.

Have both the Daytona and Speedy and love them both. Slight nod to the Daytona for accuracy and the bracelet/fit on the wrist, but legibility on the Speedy is unsurpassed.

It's hard to beat a RM. Come on no other brand can make a $500k sports watch and actually be used in a professional tennis match and golf match.
RM is the ultimate sports watch hands down. Lowest priced piece of plastic is at 70k. Edit: didn't see sports chrono part. I guess me personally I would choose the nautilus.

I would pick the Speed master as No. 1 if it were water proof. So...
1. Daytona 2. Speedmaster |

No Zenith El Primero? It won't win, but should be in top 5.
In order, I'd say: Speedmaster Daytona Monaco El Primero take your pic after those four... |

It's still neck and neck and I have heard a few justifications for voting Speedy I.e eligibility, price, increasing value and longer/richer history but no defined reasons for voting Daytona.....
Any Daytona voter wish to explain their thinking or is it purely devotion to the brand |
