My First!
I come from very little, have worked very hard, and it means a lot to me to buy my first Rolex. I prob could've bought this 10 years ago, but I am extremely frugal with spending and prob won't spend more than a very small fraction of income on a watch (although now I've got the bug and already am eyeing a Milgauss to compliment this one). Plus now my wife wants a Rolex too Any recommendations for a nice "but somewhat low cost" Rolex for a woman?
Growing up I always loved watches, I bought a Movado at 17, a Tag at 25, a Breitling at 26, and now a Rolex at 32, the graduation process. I think moving forward I'm sticking strictly to Rolex and maybe AP for my collection. I have a son who just turned 3 and he loves watches lol. He always takes my tag and wears it around his arm. When I got home with this one, I told him one day it will be his, he responds "I want it now Daddy" - smart kid I've had it for 2 days and already landed my first scratch, don't even remember it, got absolutely schmamerred at our company holiday party last night (it was actually the highest ranking guy in our NYC office that was feeding me the booze and getting wasted with me, cool dude, worked with him for 4 years now so it was A Okay). I saw the small scratch on the link this morning - Actually kinda happy about, makes it mine, also I don't have to worry about that kind of stuff now that I already have one, I can just enjoy this awesome machine that I get to wear on my wrist. http://i.imgur.com/j8kUDqh.jpg Prob in 5 years: http://i.imgur.com/0xBjulG.jpg |

You asked for a somewhat low cost ladies Rolex? Perhaps a pre-owned plain DateJust in SS. No diamonds.

I love that watch. I recently bought the one without a date. Yours looks great. Only problem with sharing hers is she might take over your Sub too.

Just noticed, the watch is running about 4-5 seconds fast per 24 hours, this is slightly upsetting... What is considered "within normal range"?

Congrats -4/+6. You need to start fully wound and track it over the course of a week and then take the average.
I'm sure it's fine. Don't let the scratch worry you. It's the first of many.
