Bark???
When I was kid I saw a man wearing a bark finish day date. Ever since that has been my grail Rolex. This year my wife got me one for my bday. It is a 79 18038 I was born in 1983. Just a bit of back story. My question is regarding the rarity and how long was this feature offered? I will add a pic of mine and I will post pics when I get the bracelet back from being de stretched and tightened up.

Bark???
That bark reference would be the 18078; an 18038 would come with fluted bezel and "regular" president bracelet.
That being said, the one in your pic is very nice. Someone more knowledgeable than I will come along with production dates. I know they made the 1807 references at least as early as late 60's. You don't see them nearly as often as the standard DD, and I personally like the look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
