Openworked 15407 in Steel Boutique Only?

Hi,

I've put a deposit with the boutique for this watch; but now wondering if I can source if outside of the boutique?

Also, does the boutique ever give any discounts? I've always sourced my watches outside but thought I'd go boutique for this one for faster access.

What do you think?

Cheers.

I was told that more will go to Boutiques but high tier ADs will also get them. If a dealer gets one per year and can sell for full price would they discount?

Well, the current 39 OW in steel can only be had at retail price so it's safe to assume that the new will follow the same lead.

Does the boutique offer any discount though?

It has been my experience that they will discount. When I was inquiring about a particular watch it was offered at a boutique. We didn't get to the exact % but it was around 10% to start.

Do you mind sharing which boutique? Was this a true AP-owned Boutique or one of the franchises (e.g. Vegas)? I was not able to get a discount at APNY.

Yeah I was told the same thing about an other boutique exclusive, the ceramic diver, well I got 10%, plus 16% tax refund, now that's a great deal

Indeed also was not boutique only. Mine was sold through an AD.

I think it's too bad you left a deposit without knowing these answers beforehand. Will the btq refund you back your deposit?

I solely based my judgement based on the 15305. Hence; I'm asking if there is a way to get a discount from the boutique.

They won't return my money unless a screw up happens. But I need to be 100% sure that boutiques discount before I open that subject up.

If you asked AP they would always say it was boutique only, when pushed they would say that a few were allocated to preferred ADs, but most were sold through the boutiques.

It's about the relationship at Boutique and the piece.

After first purchased at APNY, I'm regularly offered 10% off boutique only pieces.

Not sure if it is a franchise but it was in Kuala Lumpur. I went in to look at the new perpetuals.

Well as a first time client I was offered 10% at the AP private showroom in Paris, but I got directly the director, a member here called them and they didn't want to give 1% off for a blue 15400, so depends also who you talk to...

Well when I was looking for mine I called a few AD and they said boutique exclusive...

Boutique says they cannot discount new models. How true is this?

I don't think 1 TRF member does full price, I usually use the grey market or if boutique or AD in that case I ask for discount, but pay full retail no ways!!!

Novelty pieces that are in high demand and especially those that are new might be hard to get at any discount. If you wait long enough some will show up on the grey market. I know most branded Boutiques are not allowed to give discounts... but they commonly throw in extras. I have not purchased from a Boutique

They had one of these awesome pieces come in (one in blue and one in silver/white) so I had to check them out.
