1st time w my RG Daytona 116515

Since I've had it the second hand has been locked pointing to the crown on the dial 12.

This morning I decided to activate it.

Thoughts on keeping it sweeping vs. frozen?

I feel like some people feel letting it sweep is good for it as freezing it is somehow like locking it up some way?

Also I know people do not like to keep it sweeping bc of the time reserve.

I never take mine off except to swap out for the next safe queen, so that's not an issue and i'd imagine I'd freeze the sweeper when it goes back in the safe.

Who let's theirs run on their daytona?

I let it run a couple times a month but that's it. Most of the time it's off.

I let mine run all the time, thats what they are made for no worries, keeps perfect time and doesn't affect the power reserve to any noticable amount

I like to use the chrono function as it was designed. But the big seconds hand does look good moving around the dial.

Run it every now and again to keep the small bits of lubrication distributed, running for a day or so to get full rotation out of all the dials.
But with the vertical clutch it's not freezing up with it not running, just sitting ready to be engaged.
It is nice to see the arrow sweep around the dial and un-obscure the mighty crown at 12oclock. ��

I use mine as intended, otherwise, I keep it disengaged. I usually have my pushers unscrewed and ready to go, for when I want to time something.

I don't use the chrono much any more so I let it run, easier to see the seconds.
