New Deepsea & Seadweller Photo Side by Side
Not sure where this photo comes from but it shows the New Deepsea along side the current Sea Dweller. Apologies if its already been posted.
Whilst I love the watch and have one on order and I am getting nervous as it looks pretty huge on this guys wrist! Of course, even the Seadweller looks big on his wrists but mine are only 7 inches so i guess it will look huge on me too, time will tell! ![]() |

I think you forgot something
![]() ![]() It has been shown before, and that guy has super skinny wrists so take no notice what it looks like on him. I'm sure it will look ok on an average wristed guy ![]()

Agree the guy in that photo has skinny wrists, any way the watch is 43mm there are many watches out there with that same size try one of them just to have a clue how it would be , if the size matter !!

No worries...that guy is Mr. Pencil Wrist. Look how the SD case hangs over the edge of his wrist. He's got no business sporting either watch...should probably look into something along the 36-38mm case design. Now, if you too are Mr. Pencil Wrist Jr. & your Sub/SD case hangs over your wrist...well then, I think you might have a problem. Cheers.

Fortunately i'm not Mr Pencil Wrist, my daytona almost looks small on my wrist by modern standards. I just hope you dont have to be Mr. Pint Glass Wrist to wear a Deepsea!

Yes, I like the original one better too... especially since 40mm with a steel bracelet is as big as I can go...
Was trying a Omega "James Bond" SMP and it was too big for me. The Submariner is as big as I can go, though it is twice the price of the SMP. No hope that I can carry the DEEPSEA. I am sure that there are some people who will like it. Some people need bigger watches than 40mm. |

Not taken by the writing at all, why does it need that?
Surely any one who bought it for diving would know what it was capable of, i do like the size though.

If it's the same movement i.e. the 3135, wouldn't the dials and hands be interchangeable?
Just an interesting thought ![]() |

The words are self-hyping; seductive in a way but meaningless as to purpose. My eye is taken immediately to the writing rather than to telling time, which is a negative in my book. Could not the same thing be said of the increase in size?

It's interesting...the Triplock crown on the Sub is 3mm high, so the DeepSea case is the size of the Sub/SD from the case edge to the edge of the crown.

I am looking forwards to a larger watch. I am not Mr. Pint Glass Wrist but I think the SD looks too small on my wrist. I hope the band is wider to match the face!!! |

Look at the size of those lugs....I am worried that the bracelet is going to look to small! The bracelet on the GMT IIc could have stood to be a bit wider IMO, but I still like it. However, if my memory is correct, that is still a 20mm bracelet on the DS and that is going to look disproportionate.

I think that they have bumped the bracelet end-link and lug width up to 22mm on the DeepSEa.
But that is one of my problems with the new block case on the GMT and this one.. The block look and the wider individual lugs makes the bracelet look disproportionate..

lose that writing in the inner ring and maybe the flat crystal then I'll think about getting one.
Really don't like the extra original gas.......on bezel. too crowded. it belongs to the case back.

That's a significant difference. 40mm is about all my wrist can handle.

I'm a little disappointed. I've heard all the new writing on th DSSD was in flashing neon.
