39mm OP vs Explorer 1
Other than the dials, is there any difference between the two ?

Clasp is different too. OP39 doesn't have the easy link clasp or flip lock.

The main difference is the explorer is better . It also appears a bit bigger to me in person.

...and the case is brushed. So, dial, hands, case, clasp are all different.

What type of person you are ? One watch man ? Or collectors of many watch ? If you looking for a watch that suit you for long time ( one watch man ), go for ex1, i've been thru your situation. I tend to look at 39 op dark rhodium, in a photo it looks more dark n black a way cooler than black dial of ex1. But after i tried both of them, the 39 op is way too classy and the color is not the same as in photo which i think makes me feel like older than i really am. But the ex1 is really catch my eye.. Sporty and can be use wether you're at 20 or 50++ years old. Just try for yourself and decide..

All newer Oyster Perpetuals and Datejusts have domed bezels while the Explorer's is angled and flat. The difference in profiles would be something like the image below. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Besides case diameter and the name of the brand are the same, nearly everything else is different.

I made those images because that's one thing about the newer DJs that bother me and create a less sporty, more bloated look. They're still amazing and I may get one soon, but I prefer the older bezels. That's one place the Explorer still wins.

I'm so sorry english is not my main language.. i want to say Ex1 is better if you only want 1 watch for the entire of your life. Cause you can wear it in any occasion. And for the OP 39 imho, it is too formal and for old people.
I just trying to explain it, but i don't want to hurt those who like the OP 39. |

If you could only have one for your entire life then the Explorer. Colored dials look great but can go out of style. Black and white never do. Besides, as mentioned above, it's more iconic, more comfortable, and IMO better looking. (I adore the OPs, though) Photos: https://www.instagram.com/youreterrific1/ |
