Rolex platinum 228206 on eBay , low price, how can it bay? BlueWatchVault ?

Granted it is not new, looks like legitimate seller, makes me feel like I overpaid for my BNIB one, and I got the lowest price around for BNIB have not seen lower. Anyone know anything about BlueWatchVault ? Anyone buy from them before?

$35K or best offer?

not sure why this is a watchout thread topic; and i don't see anything wrong with that price either. seller is aggressive and just not being greedy. (its also a tough watch to sell used)

WatchOut is not necessarily for "I got scammed" - also for, what do you think? Have you ever done business with this seller before?

Look there's a long thread on for example Bob's Watches, seeking advice and references.

I have not heard of them but that is a pretty aggressive price.

Both on Ebay and on their web site, there seem to be missing info on their address.
http://bluewatchvault.com/about-us . Only clue is they are located at Newport Beach ,CA.

Their "about me" page above states that they are an online-only store.

Is this a DBA for one of the Newport Beach-area dealers (JOT, Jaztime, etc.)?

No brick and mortar watch dealer I know of in Newport Beach sells watches at low prices. Not saying they all gouge but I haven't come across any bargains in Newport Beach and none has a "guaranteed lowest price" policy like this place.

I bought a 16600 from them last year. 100% legit, and the price was great...

Jasons' word is good. And I have seen them on Ebay before. Nothing suspicious here.

The price is not 35k but 42500$, I can get a Datejust in pt brand new for 30k euros, don't know the difference in price with the day date but I am not shocked at 42500. And yes this section is for when there is clearly something wrong, a low price shouldn't enter this category, this should be on the normal Rolex section, not here

Actually, when the OP posted it, the price was in fact $35k OBO.
They initially had two available (the pre-owned one @ $35k OBO, and a new one @ $42k+).
So, it would seem they sold the new one, and have now increased the price on the used one.

I asked them about a 18k Sub #116618, Blue face. That was 3 days ago, I have not heard back.
There does not seem to be much information about a physical location. Maybe I missed it?

Guess I will keep looking.

Business have operating expenses. Sometimes there might be a budget shortfall which results in some agressive low pricing. Sometimes emergencies might arise that cause the need to liquidate some inventory at a low margin or even at a loss. Other times, a seller may be fed up with trying to sell a watch and feels like it will never sell, so the price gets dropped significantly. Lots of reasons behind the scenes can cause extraordinarily good deals from time to time.

I agree with what Tim just said. Lots of variables- I've seen sellers that are typically overpriced have a notably good deal on a piece. They buy a piece from someone at a notably low price and sell it for less than normal etc.

My memory is a little foggy but JazTime and Bluevault may be one in the same. I've seen this before where a company has two shingles.

On another note, I've seen watches on Crown & Caliber that are on Capetown sites. Both companies are in Atlanta but C&C was clearly selling the same watch using Capetown's pictures. I don't know the relation between the two.

Jaz Time and BlueWatchVault are indeed the same company. Price may be low because they are in it for cheap and simply want to turn and burn...
