Why Rolex?!?

Hi sometimes I have that question in my mind. Why Rolex? A lot good Brands out there, but I choose only Rolex.
Panerai is good brand, Patek is nice, VC is ellegant, Breitling is nice too, Omega...Well...OK to me, etc. But Rolex is still Rolex, KING Of My Heart... And I ROLEX already conguer my heart.
Do you have same question in your mind? And do you have the answer for your question?
Me, I love ROLEX because ROLEX is my First Love, and I believe sometime... First Love never die, isn't it?

It has to do with the brainwashing that we have been subjected to

It is the most famous brand in the world 99% of the world population know the name rolex only 1% knows what it looks like now that's what i call marketing success

As long as you get people's attention on your brand they will find some time to look at your products

Not to mention the hype and legacy that is surrounding the brand Rolex and they intentionally taking advantage of it

Logically this is what it happening to all of us

Why Rolex? Because it's the best one for me, plus it's been the watch of choice with my family for generations and besides, I can't afford to buy a Patek.

Hi Trurolexer

I think I am attracted by the conservativism of the brand - the fact that their designs have not changed but evolved and become design icons. Omega have some lovely watches but few that are design icons in the same way as the Sub-Mariner or the Datejust.

Of course robustness and quality are important - but these qualities are shared by other brands as well.

But a Rolex will always be a Rolex - unique, timeless and instantly recognisable.

I like the look and for smaller wrists it's about the only brand that makes a 38 mm men's watch. Yes, I have succumbed to the marketing and there are alot of brands that have more features for less money.

I bought a Rolex because of my father. He had always bragged on the quality of his Rolex('67 OP). When I could afford it, I purchased one. I've been very happy with mine ever since.

Why Rolex? When I wore first time my SS Daytona I stoped to comprehend.
I stoped to ask others about watch brands and I've found peace of mind.

Because for as far back as I can remember I wanted a Sub, I really liked dive watches. My wife bought me a Tag prof 200, and I loved it. After the birth of our two kids, I bought her a TT DJ, and after seeing the quality of her watch I saved up for a quite a while and bought a SD. I still own the Tag and have a Speedy Pro, but the SD stills get the most wrist time!

Fact. 100% agree. If you want a watch buy a Timex or Casio. Rolex is jewelry and status. Any one that shells out $6K USD for a stainless steel watch and claims it has nothing to do with prestige / status is fooling themselves... Yes I have an M series Sub.. we're all nuts... guilty as charged!

Well stated and completely accurate. I find myself studying tourbillion movements in watches I'll never be able to afford out of curiousity and admiration, but admit both looks and the treat that comes from having something rare enters my purchase equations -- especially with Panny, hard to miss them.

The "Deep Sink" divers don't fool me for a second, but I leave them in peace with their rationalizations for purchase.
