Omega Speedmaster Rattrapante circa 2001
I'm thinking of buying one of these watches. Is there anything I should look out for ? It appears that this watch is unused since it was made around 2001. Is that good or bad.
Thanks for any replies. |

Is it from a well known, trustworthy seller? Happen to have any pictures of it? Unused is not bad BUT the watch will need to be serviced (cleaning, oiling, and adjusting the movement) most likely. New gaskets might be recommended by a watchmaker too. It's wise to have this done based on the age of the piece (worn or not). If it's from a trustworthy seller and the price reflects this it'll be well worth the consideration. Hope this helps a bit.

Others may comment, but I was considering this watch about a year ago and an Omega dealer told me there were issues with the Rattrapante movement. I am certainly not an expert, bUt I trust the Omega dealer who told me this, so hopefully others will chime in.
