Sea Dweller question? NEED SOME ADVICE

Hi,
Very first post here. Would like to know your thoughts. I just bought a new M serial Sea Dweller. Have not worn it, so I can exchange the watch if I want. Here is the question.

I have an 11 year old SS Sub which I love. I got the itch for a new Rolex and since the Sea Dweller will go away (The one I have), I got it. Should I have gotten the GMT II Ceramic instead? What are your thoughts?

I think you really need to go with your heart on this one, what I prefer is not what the next guy prefers. I would get the one that you love and will be happy with, my personal opinion is really irrelevant because it's your watch........but, I prefer the SD to the GMT IIC any day.

Welcome aboard! Fortunately, I have both, and they are both extremely unique in their own way. The GMT IIc is definitely a little flashier with the ceramic bezel. I find myself wearing my Explorer II & Sea-Dweller all the time…..

Good luck on the personal decision you make, but it surely sounds like you may have made it already by purchasing the Sea-Dweller!

Maybe, maybe not. Getting both is the only way to resolve this.

Whether you can exchange it will depend on your AD's policy but if it hasn't been worn and you purchased it recently I wouldn't think it should be a problem although I have heard some AD's will not do it.

Although, I personally much prefer the SD it is too similar to the Sub for me so I wouldn't want to own both. The GMTC would be more of a departure from the Sub and might be a nice change if you like it.

I have purchased watches here before, and I have not worn the watch. I would hate to buy a used watch I thought was new, so I would not do that to someone. They gave me 30 days to decide. Just don't want to take 30 days to decide. lol

SD now has a mystique of ZERO PRODUCTION ....

GMT IIc has center links that get scratched easier than the back of a
CD-ROM...

SD is King man!!! ( An extremely biased opinion!!)

Surely if you have already got a Sub and have now got a SD, it will make your decision making on which one to wear more difficult!
The GMT is designed for a different purpose,would you use the function or do you just like the look of it?
I had a S/S GMT II for a short while, so I should warn you about the scratches that the bracelet picks up, no matter how careful you are.

It really depends on what your likes are. GMT-IIc is flashier and functional with the 24hr hand. The SD is a classic which is supposedly discontinued. I ended up purchasing both. I'm loving the GMT, the SD is in the safe for now.
