What would you buy ?

Been looking at various watches and brands over the past 4-6 weeks.

Finally got it down to two first is the gold GMT IIc 116718ln black dial and AP diver 15710 black dial. Tried both on and love both and can decide I already have a steel ceramic GMT and wife has the two tone version so the al gold would complete the collection but also would like a change of brand so the AP is appealing.

What would you pick ?

Would you consider purchasing the gold GMT and then flipping the SS for the AP? Ok, so you may have to put in some additional $$. But then you would have everything you desire: GMT watch (albeit a gold one) and AP for diversity.

Yeah, get the boss GMT and then trade for the AP. I've owned both, a pair of super stellar watches.

I don't think I would sell the steel GMT it's the nicest watch I've owned I love it and it's the only Rolex model I like, tried a sub hulk on today and not sure what it is but just not into the Rolex subs at all.
The problem is if I buy the gold GMT I think I'll still want the AP but if I get the AP I might not be that bothered about the GMT because I already have a steel one.

What a conundrum. May be best settled with a coin toss.

Nah...whichever one you buy, you'll still want the other one.

Get the GMT and then flip both the steel and TT for the AP...and then get your wife a new purse.

I agree, and once you've got the gold GMT I'm not sure you'll look at the SS one quite the same. That's the power of PM.

. If you get the PM GMT you can consider a name change to "The Mr. GMT"

I think you'd like the 718 over the AP Diver (nice watch).

In "rolex forums," under "rolex general discussion," safe bet you're going to get GMT supporters. Count me in as one of them. I think the gold GMT is the best all around PM model they make.

I'm with the most expensive option you haven't approved. Gold gmt / ap diver.

Your rules - still pm gmt.
