Micro adjustment on easylink clasp
My AD is super good with a hollow ground screwdriver and can remove a link without so much as a smudge. Unfortunately and surprisingly, his deft touch disappears when using a springbar tool to change the micro adjustment in the clasp.
Could I possibly do this myself with just a very small screwdriver (if I'm really careful) without gouging anything? If the answer to that is no, then would a tool like a Bergeon 6767-F (fine tip) be an adequate tool? Many thanks! |

I had the Bergeon 7825 but I think I just used a standard spring bar tool for the micro easylink adjustment. Don't use a screwdriver. Always use the right tool for the job.

Yeah, I've searched and saw the recommendations for the 7825, but it is so pricey and I don't ever change bracelets. So I wouldn't use it enough to justify the price.
Do you think the 6767 fine tip would be the correct size for the job? |

The 6767F will work as well.

The trick is to disengage the springbar such that it slides within the clasp cover such that it can be slid over to the next slot. Disengage one side, then the other, then slide the entire assembly to the desired slot.
A simple springbar tool or screwdriver can be used to make this adjustment... FWIW, I have more on bracelet adjustments posted here. -Sheldon

Even a simple toothpick can be used, you just need the manual dexterity to do it...
