Difference between 1803 bracelet with hidden clasp or regular clasp (pics inside)

I recently purchased a regular clasp yellow gold president bracelet that supposedly came off an 1803. It's really in great condition and has less stretch then my original hidden clasp one.
Once mounted the difference with the old hidden one struck me. The one with the regular clasp seemed a lot "bulkier" and made the watch seem larger then before. With the hidden one, the watch is a lot leaner.
It seems like the bracelet links are wider also...here you see some pics with my WG one...in this case it might be due to more polishing of the WG president one but I don't think so. I don't think the polishing will do such a major difference to the links (if they are not been heavily polished over the years).

So for you guys that are thinking about buying an 1803 with bracelet, now you can see the difference between the two bracelet types...

Here you can also see a difference in gold color with the old one The old hidden clasp one is a lot more yellow (hard to catch in a photo). Might be that the regular clasp bracelet has been refurbished to gain its more richer gold color back...
