Couple pics of my 162...

...I am really liking this watch for a few reasons. One is that is a discontinued model that was only made for one year. The other is the subdials. I always say I am not a fan of chronos but this one speaks to me and makes me feel like the Transporter. That is if he was lazy, sat on a computer for hours and hated excercise. I also loved the contrast between the brushed case and polished bezel. The quick push date changer is a neat addition as well.

Really nice one! "Quick push date changer" seems to be something unique right?

BTW, I will probably have an opportunity to get a BNIB PAM 088 at the end of next week...A friend of mine is going to travel do the Caribbean for vacation and offered me to bring it to me and at the same time I was able to locate one at an AD...He is asking $4,500 out of the door (tax free)...What do you think?

That is $500 off retail with an impending price increase next month, so it sounds like a great deal. I really do miss my 88. I want to replace the one I just traded away as my next purchase.

So, go for it?? or do you think I can get a better deal? (also he reported me that comes with both kind of croco brown and rubber strap as well) (I was saving to the LV, but it's taking a while, so...you know... )

I think it is a really good deal for BNIB especially with the price increase confirmed already. I am a fan of the rubber strap that Panerai gives, but I think you already have a 111 so you know what it is like. On the 88 it comes with a deployant though, and it is very nice.

The OEM Croc straps are the best out there and I wear one about 50-60% of the time. Here is one on the strap....

LOL!!! It will hopefully be an add on. But not for awhile, not anything for awhile or at least till we adjust to one more mouth to feed and having to start buying diapers all over again.

I will JJ, I just put it back on the black OEM croc with deploy it came with. I have switched to the Radiomir for tonight and tommorrow. But next week I will try to put it on and switch it over.

Nah, I am on ban from the post office. Unless it is to sell off some straps, Andie wants me to simmer down till after the baby is born. Then when we get everything back in order, she said I can resume the nuttiness.

Great pics my man. I think it's a great looking chrono. In the third pic, what's that on the side of the case? Screw, HE valve?
The 88 looks awesome on that brown strap

Thanks for the nice words guys. I really love this chrono, and I am not a chrono guy. This watch is really grabbed me. I was going to put the bracelet on but I am too much of a fan of straps on the PAMs.

Thanks Paul, John was right, that is the quickset for the date function. This watch was not only limited to one year production and 1500 pieces. It also came with a Montrepegra (sp?) pen worth about $500 usd. At least that is how much it is worth from what I am told. I am far from a pen guy, so I don't know.

I found out my strap screwdriver works just fine though, so the pen has been put in my safe box at the bank. I will grab it next time I go by there and take a few pics.
