Dither no more... picked up 116600, put on RubberB
Nope, not for "investment". I had been pondering one since not long after Baselworld 2014.
Finally decided it was time to make that decision. I came very close to buying a new one, but this one came up 2nd hand at the right moment - a few minor scratches on board, and a nice saving. Perfect for me because this will be an everyday not-take-special-care kind of piece for me. Immediately put it on RubberB. Will change to bracelet now and then and see how it goes. Today is day 1. BTW -- for anyone interested in a new one, there is (as of Tuesday April 11th anyway) one for sale at the AD at T3 of Abu Dhabi Airport, airside. |

Look great! Congrats! How are you liking the rubber b so far? Did it fit perfectly with the end links? I'm thinking of putting one on mine or just going with a perlon to mix it up. Mine says hey.

@ClemsonTC, RubberB feels good. I opted for a tang buckle. To be honest 'ideal' fit is probably somewhere between hole 4 and hole 5 for me, so its not perfect. I think if you opted for the version that keeps the supplied Rolex clasp you would have finer fit adjustability than tang, but I chose tang so that it is relatively quick to swap between RubberB and the original bracelet.
Mine says 'hey' back. I'll post a pic of the end link fit in a moment... |

Thanks, that's good to hear. I would go for the tang buckle as well for ease of swapping bracelets back and forth. Any reason you chose Rubber B over Everest?

Nice fit at the end link position I would say, but you be the judge... |

But anyway, this is my first day with the SDC and my first day with RubberB. I'll report back after the watch has had a few weekends' worth of (ab)use. |

The Rubber B looks great. I may go with a black Rubber B for the SDc and go with a blue Everest when I get the BLNR. |

Yeah, if I wanted an 'investment' I'd pick up some ol' glossy dial thing and stick it in a dehumidified cabinet. No fun in that, right?
Betting on any modern piece is a long set of odds, surely. (Though I did consider that if I change my mind on this, it would be an easily flippable piece in 2017 at the 2nd hand price I paid). |

My feeling, given the existing height of the watch (especially the deep back), is that NATO / Perlon style straps might make the watch sit too high. But... I haven't tried yet. I have a few bits and pieces to try out. When I do I'll post further pics. |

looks great! Is that a big scratch on the ceramic bezel at the 50 mark? Curious if you know how that happened given scratch resistance of the material?

i was looking for a SD4K today at Dubai DDF. No joy although they did have plenty to chose from (SubC, SubC date and x1 DSSD black and x1 DSSD Blue/Black).

Here's another shot showing the Chromalight kicking in in the shade. Such a lot of great details. It's luxury, yes, but its tool watch function shines through in every detail. |

Looks great on the rubber b! I had mine on for a week then switched back to bracelet. I'll be putting it back on again soon for another week to switch it up. So easy now that I have the bergeon 7825. I got rubber b because it looks better in my opinion. On the site it said it does not come with spring bars but they sent a pair anyway.
