I Need Opinions Please!!

I just got back from my AD and first let me tell you all they have two watches that may be of interest to some. THey actually have an SD old model BNIB- well on display in the case but needless to say available. Price is a bit steep at $6400 (I guess the increase hit the SD hard). They also have a BNIB on display GMT "Coke" bezel available for $5750. I thought they were discontinued but I guess not. The sales lady said they get calls for "Pepsi" all the time but no luck on that one.
You can PM me if interested but I may not get back to you till tomorrow since I have to work tonight.

Anyway they also have the DSSD. Lord have mercy it is HUGE!!! There is no way you could wear it with a suit or nice oxford shirt. The sheer thickness of it would prevent one from wearing it underneath the cuffs. Since I just got the Milgauss from them they have offered to take it in exchange for full credit. There have been sooooooo many comments about the DSSD. I just read most if the "White Elephant" thread but given I'm 6'6" , around 240 and well proportioned I just may be able to pull this thing off. I have until tomorrow to decide.

I think the DSSD was made for men of your "stature".

I fondled one at my AD last week and it was way beyond my ability to absorb it. A watch must be comfortable on my wrist for me to enjoy it as I think others will agree. That thing is a MONSTER, but a superb monster it is.

I can't help you decide, but I am sure your heart won't lead you in a wrong direction.

Whatever your choice, you can't go wrong!

Not bad if they give you full credit on the Milgauss, that is tempting!

To be completely honest with you, if I was going to spend that much money on a watch, the SDDS would be way down the list. I would buy the ultimate watch made IMHO, the Blancpain FF's. I love Rolex but for the price range they are pushing themselves into, their are better brands. They don't get much better than this, but it's you $10,000.

The FF is an awesome watch. Great looking and an excellent timekeeper.

I bought a Deepsea a week ago and love it. It's not a small watch that's for sure, but I wear it every day with no problem. The way some of these guys freak out (no offence) at this watch just cracks me up! Don't any of you guys have any large Breitlings or Omega Planet Ocean Chronos, etc? Guys come on! The Deepsea is in my opinion an awesome watch with many really nice features. Granted, most of us are not divers, (myself included) so....why would you want an extreme diver watch? Why do you want ANY watch? Because it facinates you with its' technology, its' perfection, its' intricacy, its' prestige, among other reasons.....you get the picture. So.....why not???? Also, for what this may be worth to you, not too many people have one of these bad boys yet, so you can be the first one on your block, instead of just another "me too". Dude, "cowboy up", it you can afford it and you like it, I say go for it!
