Advice on new purchase
Really like the Avenger II GMT, close to purchase new from AD. Blue dial, blue rubber strap, competitive price.
Would like input from members here on the watch and Breitling in general, as this will be my first of the brand. Reliability is the main quality in a watch for me, followed by accuracy and durability. The B32 movement is a modified ETA movement used in several other GMT models, any comments on that? My Rolex's have spoiled me. Thanks for your comments.

It's a great watch and would be a great weekend wear on the rubber strap. I'd add in the steel bracelet since it's easier to buy that now with the purchase than buying it later.

Yes. And the reliability is strong as well. Make sure the discount is too or you'll regret if you flip. Good luck.

I think the instant depreciation when bought new gives you a heads up.
ETA movements have been around since I was a boy but I have had issues with the auto winding mechanism on a few if my modified ETA movements (Ball was one) when I have manually wound them. When they repaired my Ball Fireman II the tech advised me not to manually wind it too often because it was automatic and not designed to be wound each day. I'd pass.

I own two Breitling.
Navitimer 01 and Chronomat 44 GMT. My son owns a Super Avenger II. Two have in house movements, the latter doesn't. We love Breitling. They look and feel awesome. Have never had any issues with our Navitimer and Super Avenger II. Recently my Chronomat acted up, seems to have lost power reserve easily but somehow, someway, it corrected itself and seems to be working fine. I had opened a service ticket with Breitling and requested a shipping box but have since put it all on hold. Recently completed the two year service on my Navitimer. It was free (this watch has a five year warranty plus two extra years I was given as an offer). Avenger has a two year warranty. It was fast (14 days in my hand from time they received it). I would buy another in a heartbeat. In fact, the new ceramic Heritage II blue bezel with white dial and SS bracelet is on my radar. Do they depreciate? Yeah but that doesn't matter to me as I don't buy them to sell them eventually. I buy them for life. |

Buy it pre-owned from one of the trusted sellers here. Just a thought
