Storing your Rolex

Hey guys, so I am the proud owner of a Rolex Milguass. Question I have is for those who own more than one nice watch. Do you ever put them in your safe deposit box? Just curious if others do it. Also if it is bad for the watch as well?

Storing your Rolex

I have part here, part deposit box. I've been doing this since 2 years now. Watches are in perfect condition.

I wear all my watches in rotation so locking them away somewhere inconvenient does not work for me.

Definitely not bad for the watches. Perfectly safe. Many here use them

I store my Daytona on my Wolf watch winder in my office.
Let it wind overnight to give it a decent charge since I have a desk job and am pretty inactive.

No safe deposit box here, too inconvenient, as I wear most of my watches. Have a safe in the garage for watches, guns and other valuables. Have 2 watch winders inside safe.

Congrats on the Milgauss.
Not too many of us out there.
Which dial? White, black or Z Blue.

I recently bought a Z Blue. Love it.

Contemplated it but I like them close by to wear as desired. I have them all individually insured should the worst happen.

We were out of town on vacation last week. Took my DJ and put the rest in the safe deposit box for the week.

Thanks! I got the Z blue as well. What I love about it the most is that you cannot tell its a Rolex unless you know something about watches. I'll post some pics later of it.

How long do you let it sit in the bank safe? That's what I was afraid off that letting them sit for say 6 months is bad for movement?

I can't remember the thread but a while back this question was asked and one of our members who is very experienced with what she was talking about said it won't cause a problem to let the watch sit for long periods of time.

My nice watches are in a large gun safe on winders. They are all insured on a rider on my home insurance.

Many, many Rolexes will sit in a dealers safe or window for 1 or 2 years, so 6 months in a safe won't do them any harm!

I put it in a watch box in my room but have all three of my watches insured so I don't have to worry about it!

One in my wrist, the rest in a safe few kms from home. All insured.
No one knows where they are, only my lawyer. If something happens to me, my wife will keep them for my daugters. Legally stablished.

Longest had one sitting there for 1 year, and my wife quartz Cartier for 6 + months as she hijacked my Pam000.

Never had any issue with movement.

I don't store watches. I love them too much to keep them in a dark, enclosed space. I wear them on my wrist.
