Its a miracle
Since my Sd got back September 5, except for the new Bezel and insert, only that one single point of lume lites up at night. fats folrward to October 5th, I awoke at 2 am, and looked over at my SD sitting on its side, and lo and behold There was Lume. Not quite as bright as the Bezel Luminova, but it was certainly useable.
What I dont understad is how it went from no lume to lume in 30 days. Got me baffled, as i tried flashlights on it left it under lite bulbes for hours, and nothing... now I get lume. Not complai9ning, just trying to figure it out....Oh yeah I had a friend who is a nun say prayers for my wretched soul and my Rolex.. maybe it is a miracle |

My Tudor rose sub 7928 has excellent lume as bright as the day my father bought it in 1969. I will bring it to the Cagary GtG this friday and show Eric from this forum T SWISS T Glows as good as my Sea Dweller

It has been my experience that using the lume under 'normal' conditions (like driving @ night, in a theater, etc.) Rolex lume is generally not adequate. Waking from a dead sleep in a dark room, however, you can see it. With pupils fully dilated over time, you can actually see the lume pretty consistently. Unfortunately, this is not real world practical use.
My Traser equipped watches are enough brighter to be useful under quite a range of normal night-time activities. Sounds like you have a tritium paint dial. Is there a T<25 in small letters @ the 6 o'clock position on the dial??? Tritium painted dials respond very little (to none) to activation from the sun, flashlight, etc. After 10 years or so, they lose their ability to glow at all. Much different than the Superluminova in use now by Rolex.

yes ther is a T<25 on it. It is not as bright as it was when new, but I can see the second hand sweep by and find the correct time minutes and hour. Just kinda blew me away going from zero to hero in 30 days. Then again it is my trusted Sd, been to hell and back, and RSc has cursed me out loud for abusing it so.
