Icon5 16610LV Flat 4 help needed - time span of production?

Would there be anyone familiar with production time span of Flat 4?
As far as I know 2003 up to 2004, but I was recently offered a Flat 4 with serial number that starts with D, and that is supposed to be 2005-2006 year of production.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Y and early F series from what I know, not so sure though. The experts will chime in shortly.

The information below are just estimates based on data collected over time from the internet. These are LV’s that should have a flat 4 bezel insert.

Mark 1 dial - Y9xxxxx serial only from September 2003 to very early F0xxxxx serial spanning to November 2003.

Mark 1 dial - F1xxxxx serial from early 2004 spanning to late October 2004.

Mark 3 dial - F serial spanning to 2005 D serial.

Thanks Dave. So Flat 4 went up to 2005 D serial numbers? I was afraid just the insert is substituted, but now I see there is a chance I am being offered an original piece!

There are some D serial flat 4 bezel LV’s. There are some F serial LV’s with a mark 2 dial that have a pointed 4 bezel insert which were most likely produced before the D serial flat 4 LV’s. There are also Mark 4, 5, and 6 dials with a D serial that have a pointed 4 bezel insert. It is possible to have LV’s out there that don’t match these guidelines as Rolex pretty much grabbed the dial and bezel that it had at the top of the parts bin when assembling the watch.

Do you have a photo of the dial for this D serial LV you mention?

That's interesting. My understanding was Y and up to middle F series and all with Oval O dial and 5 ticks.
