Funny isn't it?
I love my Rolex timepieces modern but I prefer my Omega's vintage..

Just look at those disigns from decades ago...

For example one of my vintage Omega Geneve's..

Almost art if you ask me..

What I also love about these oldies are the manufacterer movements inside, simple and tough movements

You can't go wrong with a vintage Omega IMHO..

I've had the hots for a vintage bumper Omega for some time now. Ideally, a 1953... the year of my birth (and mankind's misfortune)

I agree with you. My Rolex Explorer II is my favorite watch. The modern Omegas generally do not do much for me, but I have been buying some old Omegas (mostly non-sport Seamasters) and then having them cleaned up.

Originally, this was to give me a non-sports watch to fill the void in my collection.

They seem to be a great value.

I really like the classic look of the Omegas from the 1960s.

Here are some of them, as you can see some still need to be refurbished.

This one was my dad's and I had it brought back to working order. This is watch it got me interested in the old Omegas:

This one is the most recent, and I think I am going to send it to Omega in Switzerland for refurbishing, as the dial will need some work.

My wife liked this one,so she is wearing it:

I found a 1960s Omega Constallation like the one Ashpap posted a pic of, with the date. They are asking $800USD and it looks to be in pretty good shape. Does anyone have any thoughts if this is a good price?

I'm no expert, but a constellation at $800 doesn't sound like a bad deal if it's in good condition. If you can knock a hundred or two off it, that's all the better. Perhaps someone else here has better input...

I just love vintage Omega's.

The last one I bought was a couple of months ago. Pie pan dial Constellation it was a stunner to look at! Even the Omega dealer was impressed.When I did have a closer look at the movement it was the wrong one for the watch. Watch said Chronometer. This had an ordinary auto movement found in other watches of the 60's.

Off to Omega for proof. Had a reply from Bienne within 36 hours. Impressive. Back it went to the dealer with a hint he could be wearing parts of his body as earings if he tried it on.

Had my money back and am waiting for the right one to come along

When I read your post, I started thinking about my own small collection of watches, and I´m going the other way.
I have two pretty new Omegas (Seamaster and Speedmaster) and I´m looking for a older model of the Sub.
I have always loved Omega watches, but recently felt the need to try a Rolex.
Anyway, very nice pictures of vintage Omegas, enjoy them.
