Datejust 41 - which is the right choice? Black vs Rhodium

I am really thinking about the Datejust 41, and while I tried the silver dial, I was sure that I would go with black.... untill I fell over the below pictures.

The watch would acompany the SD 116600, a silver dial JLC Ultra Thin and possibly a Speedmaster pro...

Let me have your input, please!!

Rhodium:

Black:

That rhodium is crazy nice...one of the best I've seen lately, IMO.

That said, the black is so classic and...timeless. Guess it depends on what look you're after.

Rhodium. I’ve tried most of the non-diamond dial configs on and rhodium is the best. I think it is the stand out dial on the SS 41. Black is always nice but the majority of sports watches have black dials. When going for a DJ, I would choose something more unique. The blue is popular as well but it just isn’t as elegant or understated as rhodium.

Wow...I’ve really been mulling over purchasing a DJ 41 with the bluedial, but the rhodium is very compelling. Lucky for you either rhodium or black are great choices!

I wanted rhodium on DJII but didn't want diamonds so I went with black stick. I love the rhodium non diamond on DJ41. I vote Rhodium on DJ41 BUT Black Thicker Stick on DJII.

You can't go wrong with either one. Rolex knocked it out of the park with all the dials on these.

Thanks, but blue is not working for me. Had a blue dial dj2 for about 1 day and the BLNR for about 3 days. Just didn’t do it for me :(

Seems that votes are in favor of the Rhodium. This was also the recommendation of my AD. Hope I have time to visit him during the week end....

Rhodium! The only problem with it is in some light it's very flat grey and gives the watch an increasingly monotone appearance.

You’re also making the right choice with the fluted bezel and jubilee. Classic yet very modern at the same time. This is what the DJ2 should’ve been from the beginning imo.

Either, but black will probably be the safer choice in the long term if you think you may not keep the watch forever.

My advice is try to see the models in person before deciding.

I had the black dial for approx 8 months before I sold it. If I had a do over, I'd go with Rhodium.
