Which Chronograph to get?

Hi guys,

I am looking to eventually add a chronograph to my collection and was wondering what you guys would recommend?

I’m not looking at anything more than around £3500

I have my eye on the speedy hesalite model and also the Tudor black bay chrono on leather.

Are there any other models I should be considering?

P.s - if all else fails the Tudor GMT black bay will do me just fine! Lol

Thanks for the advice guys.

If you look to vintage/classic how about Tudor 791xx/792xx models. Rolex dna (in some cases, the case, back and crown), Daytona look plus date.

I was thinking of that initially but is it very hard to find ones in a decent condition, also are their bracelets solid and sturdy or are they hollow with the tuna can style clasps?

Earlier Big Block on 78360 solid bracelet. Later are also pretty decent bracelets. Later ones on decent leather as well.

Definitely worth a look.

Speed master for me. Either the moonwatch, or FOIS are great options.

Speedmaster is the way to go. It's a classic and truly and amazing watch. It's perfect for pretty much any type of strap so you can really change the look however you want.

The Black Bay Chrono just doesn't do anything for me.

Save your money on a used Rolex Daytona. It's probably the best watch that hold it's value and appreciate in time. Many generations from now will want a Rolex.

A Speedmaster Professional is a really special watch. It's a great value, too. I think you'll dig it.

I'd choose the TBB Chrono, think it gets a lot of unfair stick.

Tudor, pre-Tiger or current. Possibly better retained value overall as Rolex seems to be gearing up their formidable marketing skills to push the brand and create strong name recognition. Omega, more a "limited edition" factory, although the original space watch is cool.

I say Speedmaster. Solid timeless choice that won't break your wallet....yet until you realize you don't stop at one.
