Cool New Seiko Diver Design Booklet
I picked this up in Japan last weekend, and although it's mostly in Japanese, I thought it was worth scanning and putting up here.
There's a related website here: www.seiko-design.com

Thanks Adam
If you follow the link you provided to the Seiko design page and click on the word "English" in the top right hand corner you can see the full English versions of all the design volumes. Seiko forgot to say: "No animal was harmed during the making of this volume." Poor Turtle carrying that Turtle

Very cool Adam. Thanks for sharing
I'm coming around to the Turtles. I've narrowed it down to the SRPA21 or SRPC25. I'm trying to find a rubber strap that fits and is comfortable. The Seiko Z22 on my SRP581 I'm not a fan of. I love NATO's but need 12" to fit properly. If the stock bracelet doesn't fit, I'd like to find one that does also. I believe most of the Strapcode ones are a bit snug on an 8" wrist. I'm not in a rush so I'll keep looking

Dunno if this helps, Paulie, but my wrist is 7.25 inches and my Turtle rubber strap has a spare six holes, or about 1.6 inches of 'holed' strap left over, when worn.

Thanks Adam, very good to see this information.
I’m really liking seiko divers lately. There’s so many options to choose from, I wish I had a local place to look at a bunch. |

May I recommend a Bonetto Cinturini 284 strap and swap the buckle. Another great choice would be an MN strap from Erika. https://erikasoriginals.com dP

Dan's right, the Bonetto Cinturini 284 is amazing. I have one on my 779 and it is amazing. I took off the OEM strap right away and added the Bonetto 284. I also have a 7 1/4" wrist and I trimmed up the Bonetto a bit so the strap does not have such a long tail. I was super easy and looks amazing and is really comfortable. OH, they have a vanilla smell also that is wonderful.
I personally would not swap buckles though. The Seiko buckle is great but large and wide. The buckle that comes on the 284 is much narrower and fits the 284 perfectly, and it is way more comfortable than the Seiko buckle.

I've trimmed the end of my 284 as well. Cut w/ a razor and then sand down to finish and it looks like original. I find the Seiko buckle as comfortable as the BC but the Seiko metal keeper is too big for the slightly thinner BC strap though. As they say, YMMV. dP

their straps are great, and only $20-$25... wish I could get one in 21mm, my seamaster might've stuck around lol I'm 7.5", and it is great to have one fit comfortably! the new ones on the SRP are even better!

UncleSeiko has a Tropic strap. A friend of mine has the Blue SRP on a blue one.
