Mark Webber and his GMT

Possibly my favorite modern Rolex, often overlooked on the forum: the regular black bezel GMT LN. Not surprised that a class act like Mark Webber picks a class act of a watch!

Come-on, it’s an ad... they all gets paid big money to endorse the watch... part of Rolex marketing machine.

The LN is certainly underappreciated.

If Mark still has the same watch then his lume is green rather than blue. I miss that.

No doubt it's marketing. But given he could pick whatever watch he wanted, it's cool that it's a GMT!

I would agree that the LN is definitely overlooked, but it's an excellent piece. Cool guy to have sporting it.

Cool link. Weber wears a white Daytona these days when doing his F1 work.

What I was going to say exactly.

During his time with Porsche as a driver, currently an advisor and ambassador, he was sporting a Chopard. Pages get turned very quickly. I wouldn't take these marketing statements to seriously :)

Exactly. Mark was the brand ambassador for Chopard and before that it was Oris all the way back to Casio Edifice. Come On, OP do you really take these watchmaker brand ambassadors very seriously or with a pinch of salt ? There are exceptions of course for example if the brand ambassadors coincidentally happen to be diehard fans of a particular brand since childhood for example Eddie Redmayne and George Clooney

I like the LN and I do think it gets overlooked at times.

I wish Ferrari and Rolex would enter into a partnership. I'm not a fan of Hublot.
