Forum Addiction.
Forum Addiction is effectively a negative element to the booming sub-culture of users of internet forums.
More to then point, when a board has a certain group of individuals who follow it, and read posts and discussions forums, certain members find themselves unable to break the outright addiction of keeping track of activity on the board. A simply psychoanalytical look at this behaviour may reveal a detachment to normal society, and an increased interest and dependency on the artificial society of a forum. It is a common joke among users of any number or variety of forum board's that, if pressed, many users state that they could outright not quit, or resist posting on their board of choice. This is rooted in the fabric that a high percentage of discussion forums operate on, a specific culture of users. Users develop an addiction to forums very much in a way that they develop a dependency on the community element that a message board facilitates for its regular users. To refrain from reading a discussion forum for days would result in being "out of the loop" or confused within the society in which the forum works on. Forum Posting Addiction While, at this point there is no clinical evidence that such an addiction could exist, for common internet forum users the signs of this behaviour is quite clear. Users that post up wards of 40, 50 posts in a single day, if not more. addicts will reply Willy nilly to all posts no matter what subject is continually even in the nocturnal hours. While the sleeping patterns of individuals cannot be directly criticised, individuals will often stay on a board until their communal affirmation is safe, or until they are outright forum posters, only then will you be a true TRF addict.

I'm addicted, and I know it. I belong to at least twenty forums - maybe more. But... Who's counting?
And, as far as posting goes, I follow the "Modified Irani Technique"...
