New Australian member with unknown Rolex!
Hi guys! Thanks for having me! I'm from Perth in Australia and I've joined to gather some more information on Rolex's and one in particular is this unit that was handed down to me by my grandparents, Its thought to be originally from South Africa but cannot confirm.
I've spent some time googling various Rolex pictures only to have no luck finding one exactly the same, Anyone seen one similar? I don't have a great deal of info on it as the Grandparents have passed away. Any help would be appreciated. I actually think it could be a ladies watch. Cheers |

Welcome..
I don't think that your Rolex is authentic, but it would take more than one photo to get a better idea. It is put together to look like a Datejust on a President bracelet. The Ladies President is a small 26mm case.

I was introduced to Rolex ownership by inheriting a fake. My brother had gifted it to my Dad some years ago. Once both were gone, I got the watch and wore it for several years. Actual a rather good replica with some weight and a good Jubileee bracelet. Took it to an AD for repair one day and they gave me the bad news. Bought a new replacement and now have more than one. So take it as a sign you need to get an actual Rolex from that era and enjoy the new old one.
