Incoming: My very first Rolex!

Excited is an understatement for how I was feeling leaving the authorized dealer with my very first and brand new 116500LN. I was so excited I couldn't take a picture of my watch without shaking. It took me over an hour to breathe normal again, even after I got home.

My boys blew up my phone because they knew how long I've waited for this and after 2.5 years on the wait list they finally called!

I specifically wanted this to be my very first Rolex and its better in the metal and on MY wrist than when I tried on through friends.

THIS. THING. IS. A. BEAUTY.

Congrats! I got the call for my BLNR on Wednesday after 4 months (nothing like your waiting time, but to me still felt like agony). I was expecting the call because they gave me a heads up the previous week that they got invoiced from their distributor. Just like you I was jittery and stuttering on the call, telling them not to call anyone else, and 15 minutes later after driving frantically (but safely) to the AD, it was in my hands.

I was especially nervous on the call because they actually had called me a couple weeks ago, but it went to voicemail and by the time I returned the call they went to the next person on the list.

Interesting tidbit - their jeweler wasn't in that week so they sent me to a different shop to get it sized. So I talk to that shop owner and he said they just sized a Pepsi, Hulk, and another BLNR that same day. I guess the AD got a big shipment that day of Pro models, sold at least $50K in one afternoon I'm thinking.

I think it helped that I've made a significant diamond purchase here for the wifey's engagement ring. Also I've had to replaced my lost wedding band, twice - like an idiot...

Congrats. It is the perfect first Rolex.

I think you should probably get one of those black silicone rings that football players and first responders wear :)

Stunning! I have never seen the DaytonaC in person before, but pictures always leave me stunned whenever I open up a thread with one in it. Huge congrats.

Wowza! That's quite a first Rolex purchase! Glad to hear the patience and wait time paid off! I am 2 years in on a wait ans haven't had my call yet...

Big congratulations on the white Daytona! Enjoy it in good health. Next question for you is what's next? :-P
