Upgrade(d) frmo EXP II to GMTII-C
Thanks for all the feedback to my earlier post about upgrading. I swapped out my 15 month old white face EXPII for a new SS GMTII-C today. They are very different watches after a few hours with my new friend.
Some differences..
Anyone else done this switch? Comments? |

I've been kicking around the same idea...
I now have a white faced Explorer II...I previously had a pepsi GMT and a red Submariner, but sold those in the past...Both bad decisions... I've been thinking about a coke GMT...If they make a ceramic version, I'm sure I'll jump on that one! The black ceramic is also very tempting. ![]() |

I agree with your observations. The GMT is certainly a lot heavier. I like to wear my watches just slightly loose and the GMT tends to move a lot more on my wrist than my Exp II. I generally do not check the accuracy of my watches unless they are noticeably off. Congrats on your new acquisition! ![]() ![]() |

Will they, surely when they can figure out how to make a two colored
ceramic bezel that meets their standards and as of yet they cant.

I have a Polar Explorer 2, and the one thing I really wish about it was that it had a bigger crown. It can be a little bit tricky to alter the functions with the smaller crown. The GMT and Submariner crown is an excellent size.
Congrats on your new aquisition.

Nice choice, although I might take issue with the term "upgrading" and would hope it was more of an "exchange."
![]() Either way, hope you love it!
