This 5513 was produced in 1969.

The dial looks very good, Serifdial.

The insert is viewed as a service insert.

I bought a mk3 insert.
to wear this watch.

Does this watch look good?

the watch is well worn and well polished.. Nothing wrong with that as long as you paid right.

that mk3 insert looks to me like it's a mk3 for a gold submariner. Black insert with gold colored numbers. Of course, many over the years have faded the bezels chemically in order to fade out the gold color in the numbers as much as possible so they can market the inserts to a wider range of stainless sports models.. I also notice a silver ring outlining the inner and outer edge of the insert which happens from either polishing the insert on a high speed buff to achieve a fade, or from sanding. The paint on the edges is the first to go. This would never happen to an insert that was seated in a bezel and faded naturally. Just some red flags on the insert to me.

It could be the lighting playing tricks on me from the picture, but that would be my first guess, based purely on the picture you provided.

Do you yourself see a very slight hint of gold tint to the numbers of the mk3 insert you purchased in natural light?

ok, but just be advised that the insert looks like it was faded unnaturally by first glance. So if you have not paid yet, just keep all this in mind when making an offer.
