that is a patent pending sea dweller with a mark one dial. i think only about 50 were made and given to divers to test before rolex started regular production many had later dials fitted at service. to find one complete is the holy grail for rolex collectors.

to put it into perpective it makes a milsub look common as muck!

regards sean

Spot on Sean. I'm aware of one that moved privately for more.

The buyer is now ''No longer a registered user''
I guess it was a prank purchase.
I hope the seller doesn't have too much trouble getting his eBay fees back

Ohh brother
I was expecting something like that from an e-Bay "buyer"
The bad part is that seller thought that he has hit the jackpot
..what a rude awakening to a totally superficially priced item,
especially without box or papers.

I had some idiot do it to me, but luckily it was only £4250.
It took me an absolute age to get the £150 final value fees back from eBay as even though the user was ''No longer Registered'' I had to contact them first through eBay and ask nicely if they were going to pay me.

You live and learn.
I no longer put a buy it now price in my auctions, it isn't fool proof, but it helps.
