You have nothing to worry about with davidSW. Warranty works the same as it would with factory. You receive whatever the balance of the warranty is. It just won’t have your name on the warranty card.

David is top notch. I’ve sold to him and purchased several from him dating back to 2012. Email him regarding the one you want, as he is usually always quick to reply and answer any questions. The warranty is five years from date filled out in the card and it is good regardless of whether it’s your name on the card or not.

Not exactly what you are asking about but I just dealt this past week with David SW in that I sold a watch to him. It could not have been a smoother, easier or more professional transaction. You see this site singing his praises so much you think that he cannot possibly live up to the hype, but he does. My one dealing with him was perfect and I would have no hesitation dealing with him again to sell another watch or to buy a watch.

David is the best. I’ve blindly bought watches from him that he didn’t even have on his site via email. No problem at all.

May I ask why you don’t buy your Rolex watches from an AD? With the exception of really difficult pieces to obtain that take months to get, why would you want to pay the premium someone like David SW charges?

Have both bought from him and sold to him. Nothing to worry about. He runs a first class operation.

I’ve been looking more and more towards TS as I’m not sure when I’ll get one through my AD. For the unworn brand new stickers intact ones, how does the warranty work? Is there still other persons name on the warranty or does David place the buyers name on the warranty?

Having looked at DavidSW’s and bernardwatch’s websites for a few months, their markups vary based on the model, and when I considered the total delivered cost, I was within $100 for a new 116610LN. I ordered from DavidSW and it was a perfect transaction.

David sounds like a stand up guy and has awesome reputation.
I hear people say buy the seller, not the watch. Just a quick question: What happens if I buy used watch with full set box / warranty card. 10 yrs later, I sent to RSC and they keep watch due to lost / stolen watch. When someone reports lost / stolen. What do they need to prove ownership ? Bill of sale for sure ... do they need to provide physical warranty card / box or pictures ? Is there a Rolex database to check serial# before buying ? |

Throwing my hat into this ring. Bought a Sub-C from him. An easy smooth transaction, he was helpful, accommodating and answered any and all questions I had about the watch. The watch itself was flawless -- as described, pictured, etc. It was if I had picked it up myself from an AD and had told them to leave it as is from Rolex.

If he has what you want at the price you want to pay, have no fear. I have not personally dealt with him but know folks who have. He is an hour from me in "O" town. Top Rated.
I was looking for a Hulk before Christmas. None were to be had in Florida. While searching a friend mentioned him. The Hulk is not to be believed til you see it in the Sun light. Just get it and be Happy ! |

That said, plenty of people have watches they bought new and don’t hold on to the original bill of sale or warranty papers, so if it were stolen from the original owner, they’d have no documentation from original sale to prove they purchased it originally. Not sure how all that plays out. Mine are insured and I don’t hold the original bill of sale for any of them (at least I don’t think they’re still around). I’m not aware of an accurate and up to date database of stolen serial numbers. I’ve seen conflicting info online as to whether Rolex continues to keep a database of this kind.
