If you had to let the SD4K C go which would be the
best alternative until you would eventually and
hopefully get the anniversary SD50... ?

Sub ND 14060 ,
Sub C Date 116610 ,
Sub C ND 114060 or
Sub 16610 LN .... ???

But might need to let it go unfortunately...

Going through a rough patch and need to downsize
for a while... That’s why unfortunately...
Don’t know exactly how long but might be longer than
shorter and still need a nice daily SS diver .

If you need to make some $ to hold you over then I would go for the 16610LN. Is there much difference in price between the Sea Deller and the ceramic sub date to make a difference?

$2200 to $2600 maybe $3000.
Much more for the 5 digit ... Sub date

Mario, I think the SD looks the best on you. If you have to move it, though, I think I would go with the 116610. It's a great watch, and seems to hold its value very well and hopefully will get you through this rough patch and into the SD43 down the road without hurting you too badly.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but I think if you're in a position where you have to sell a Rolex to get through a rough patch, buying a different Rolex isn't the best move. My honest opinion is you'd be better off keeping the cash from the SD4K and making the best use of it until you've recovered. There are plenty of functional watches in the $100 range that will do the job for you until you're back on your feet.

Well, then, 114060. Might as well change things up with a no date.

In your situation, though, I’d sell, pick up a “fun cheap” watch, and begin saving towards the SD50. I see little point in a “just because” watch. Just my 2 cents...

When I got the sd4k last year it was only temporarily
so I didn’t think it would last this long ...
I already have another cheap watch sitting .
I am leaning towards a Sub C ND though , thx ...

Other than that I'd rather keep the SD4K of all the choices posted, it offers the most complete package even against the SD43.

Anniversary watch isn’t going anywhere...
A ND would compliment very nicely.
The only question is now 5 of 6 digit and I know
this is a personal taste ... Although I’m so used
to a date function it’s not an easy decision.
They’re both very nice ...

If you need to part with the SD I would go with 5 digit Sub Date the narrower lugs closer to your SD than the 6 digit. That said you may miss the Glidelock.
Alternatively you could get a pre owned Omega PO great watch and liberate more cash, if you buy it right it should hold its value pretty well until you can get another Rolex, plus you have the Bluesy anyway

With these differences I’d be sure to get the ceramic sub. Seems worthwhile to go for the newer model when downsizing.

I'd vote SubC Date. It has more wrist presence than the 16610, and there's no loss of practical function: you still have a date feature, a Glidelock, a maxi dial, and a ceramic bezel insert.

I have been in the unfortunate situation as well. liquidating my watches in order to get through something. My collection has been downsized and rebuilt about 4 times so I completely understand your position as well as your desire to keep a SS rolex in the stable. Personally I would go for that 14060 2 line No Date as that would probably net you the most in a trade down and its a piece that will hold/gain value until its time to trade up again. all the best my friend
